Sleep on a low, firm pillow as sleeping with pillows that have too much volume may aggravate your neck by causing it to bend unnaturally.

Don’t respond by resting your neck too much. Some rest is good, however, you don’t want to cause increased stiffness. Gentle exercises and movements will help prevent ongoing stiffness.
